About DVDsAll our DVDs are authored using the latest programs. Clients have the option for the disc to be either a straight playable disc or have chapter points which enable you to select scenes from a menu without having to fast forward or rewind. A typical menu would consist of two pages, each page showing approximately 4 or 5 images with captions. You can then easily choose which sequence of your film you want to watch by clicking on the relevant scene. Straight playing DVDs are included in all productions. Chaptering carries a one-off small editing fee. Important note about DVDs Information on commercially mass produced DVDs (e.g. hired or purchased films) are "stamped" or "pressed" on to the disc, which makes it compatible with all DVD players. The technology used by these companies costs hundreds of thousands of pounds. However, companies that produce event DVDs "burn" the information on a computer using a DVD writer and blank discs. Blank discs come in two formats: DVD+R and DVD-R. They are both compatible with approximately 75% of all DVD players that are more than two years old. Recent models are becoming more compatible. It is therefore essential to let us know the age of your player, and the required format before ordering DVDs. For more information, please call us on 020 8958 9838 or send us an email.
